My experience with blogs

For me, it is weird to talk in English. I actually read and listen a lot in English (even though not for my classes), but I'm very shy when I have to talk; I just don't feel comfortable about it. I never write in English before (just for school when I was a child) and I think blogs helped me a lot with that; right now I feel surer of my writing skills. But I thought my English' classes would help me with better communication when I have to talk about anthropology and I'm not sure if that actually happened.

In this sense, I would have liked to write more about topics that have a direct relationship with the career that each one is studying (in my case, anthropology). However, the topics that had to touch on previous blogs have been found and have been taken into account at the level of English and in which we are, and that has not been put a little more on the rest of our faculty colleagues. Following this last point, in my opinion, I miss a travel blog. I know we did one in relation to England, but it would have been interesting to know which countries or places they would travel to and how they would get there.

French fries

As you read in the title of this blog, today I will talk about my favorite food which are French fries (I love potatoes in every way they cooked). I like so many kinds of food and eat (I'm always eating hahaha) so it was hard to select a favorite food, but I decided French fries because you can eat it everywhere and every time you want. You can accompany them with different types of dishes and salads and you will not feel like a forced mix. In addition, you can eat them alone and at any time of the day, with cold or heat, although they are not completely healthy for the fried part (in any case, all the meals have their buts, so I do not care).

Even though they are my favorite food, I don't eat them so often. I live with others five persons so we have to cook A LOT of french fries and it takes so much time. Also, as we are six, it is hard to decide what we are going to eat and french fries aren't something very chosen in my family.

Hunters-Gatherers

I am not a huge fan of study and this (my first) year was especially hard; I had to adapt to University. So I didn't enjoy my subjects. UNTIL Hunters-Gatherers comes to my student life.
In the beginning, I wasn't excited about the subject, it would be an archeologic subject, in Friday and at 8:30 am (I live far away from the University so I have to wake up early -and I like to sleep- so sounded like a bad subject). The first time I went to the subject (I was REALLY late and I was the second week). I fell in love with it. I like so much the way the teacher make classes, he makes you feel interested and you wanna keep talking with him even if the time of the class finished. Also, you can learn more about what Hunters and gatherers are and leave the stereotypes aside.
Despite the fact that the subject did not have assistance, I went to each of the classes, I ARRIVED EARLY, I would quit because my notebook was ordered, I enjoyed reading the texts and reviewing the PowerPoints after school; In short, I enjoyed studying for this field even if it was not strictly necessary.

Anthropologic page

Today, in this post, I have to tell all of you the truth: I don't follow any anthropologic page and I don't care about it. I don't know so many names of anthropologist either. I still don't know if that's what I like, so I don't wanna know about them in my free time (everything would be about University and it would be boring). I just use WhatsApp and Instagram and in the first, I can't follow other pages, so I don't like using the single page that I have for leisure with more anthropology.
The closest thing I have to an anthropological page that I like is an Instagram account on social sciences (I'm pretty sure that's what I like). It's a page about politics, but it makes me laugh a lot, although I only see it when I get it at the beginning of Instagram.

I like that page because, as I said, It makes me laugh a lot and they have informative posts where I learn about some internationals decisions and about things that happened.

Music, my love

I'm the kind of girl who is always listen music. When I wake up, when I'm studying, when I'm eating, when I'm reading, ALWAYS. I use the music for relax, for concentration and for other thing that I do in my cotidian life. In this sence, I like so much genres and musician because what I listen depends of what I will do and how I feel. So, for example, when I read I listen to relax song, in other idioms or without lyrics. And when I want to feel motivated I listen to energetic and happy songs.
At this moment of my life I like K-pop songs I think they are diverse and I like so much watch Idols dance. Of course that it's dificult be a k-pop fan for the distance, the language barrier and for the diferent culture, but, as I said, I like so much their music and I learn a lot about Asians in general.
Got7

This last month I was obsessed with Day6 music because I went to their concert in Santiago and I can't stop listening to their music. I like so much their song called I like You because was the first song I heard of them and because it makes me remember that time when I didn't know what K-pop was. Although I also love I need somebody SO I CAN'T DECIDE WHICH ONE IS MY FAVORITE.

My nephews' photos

I like to take photos about everything. I like when are simple and natural. As usual I take photos of the sky and trees or of people (family and friends) when they don't know. I think that when you take a picture of someone laughing you can remember that situation and you can feel part of that happiness again. For me picture are an amazing way to remember something.

Emilio
Samuel
Mateo

I especially love my nephews. I have three: Emilio (7 years old), Samuel (2 years old) and Mateo (1 year old). I like to see them grow up and play with them (even though it's quite exhausting). Emilio and Samuel are my sister's sons and Mateo is my brother's son. This photos were taken by them (my siblings) like a month ago and I like them because my nephews looks naturals and happy.
I think this photos show a little about my nephews: Emilio is a crazy child who doesn't like to do his homework and like to play games in computer, phones and on tv. Samuel is even crazier, he runs everywere, he likes playing with farm animal and dinosaurs, with water and with my sister's cats. Mateo is a little baby, he likes to go for a walk and watch Finding Dory.

My 13 siblings

My parents always had pets. They had cats and dogs, but some time ago, because of fate, we are a cat's family. My history with cats begins when I was seven years old and my mom and my older sister came home with a little kitty that my sister called Helena (by a My Chemical Romance's song). With her, the story of my current cats started.

At that time we weren't fans of having too many pets at home, we were six o seven  persons living in a house and had too many pets was something that my parents didn´t want (they had two little girls and two teenagers that they had to take care about as to have also take care of many pets). But when Helena get pregnant and had just girls and then this girls get pregnant and also had just girls added to that in 2008 people didn't like cats we started to go up our number of pets fast.
Today we have 13 cats living with us and they are a family (becoming more children of my mom than my siblings or me). The names are:

1. Helena
2. Guatona (her name changing over time)
